Tasting Notes: The soil is the typical soil of Serralunga d’Alba, very rich in microelements, therefore these vineyards originate wines that express great character, with pronounced acidity and flavor. The color is dark ruby-red with purple highlights; nose brimming over with leather, black licorice, coffee and blackberry. This Barbera d’Alba starts out on the palate providing a warm feeling of volume and body, with the fruit blending marvelously with the soft tannins and the acidity, while its finish is long and savory.
Estate History: Mirafiore was founded in 1858 by Emanuele Mirafiore, son of Italy's King Vittorio Emanuele II. With its range of unique wines, highly distinctive in origin, character and personality, by the end of the century Mirafiore had become an epoch-making model for Italian winemaking.
