Tasting Notes: Mataossu has a rich savory minerality that hints of the nearby sea, citrus notes and strong structure. Mataossu is a native grape to Liguria which almost became extinct. It once reigned supreme in Liguria, but was gradually ripped out because it has such a difficult vegetative balance. Thankfully it was rescued by the Ruffino family of Punta Crena.
