Tasting Notes: The Passopisciaro Contrada R Rampante Terre Siciliane is made from 100-year-old vines on some of the highest vineyards on Mount Etna. This fragrant red is a declassified Etna Rosso and is loaded with finesse, notes of dried rose petal, violets, tiny forest berries, as well as classic volcanic scents of smoke and balsamic. The elegant palate intensely delivers ripe berry, raspberry, strawberry and a mineral core balanced against a bracing acidity. Delicious now, this will age for another 10+ years.
