Tasting Notes: The Ca' Maiol Il Lugana is from Turbiana (aka Trebbiano) grapes grown near the picturesque Lake Garda, in the north of Italy. Winds off the lake play an important role in keeping vines cool and allowing a bright acidity to develop. Limestone and clay soils are a hallmark of the southern portion off the lake and help make the wine more floral and nuanced. White flowers on the nose, stone-fruit on the palate, and a supple and clean finish mark this as the perfect wine for seafood, hard cheese, or antipasti.
