Tasting Notes: This Alto Adige white offers a vibrant aromatic profile defined by crisp orchard fruits and white peach. The palate is clean and energetic, showcasing a distinct mountain character with a lean, stony minerality that provides a structural backbone. Flavors of green apple and lemon zest lead into a refreshing, dry finish that feels both juicy and refined, reflecting the cooling influence of the high-altitude vineyards where the grapes are grown.
Estate History: Kellerei Kurtatsch, also known as Cantina Cortaccia, was founded in 1900 in the southernmost portion of the South Tyrol region. Operating as a cooperative, it unites 190 small-scale growers who manage approximately 190 hectares of vineyards. The estate is distinguished by its extreme range of elevations, spanning from 220 to 900 meters above sea level, which allows for the cultivation of diverse grape varieties in their ideal microclimates. The winery is recognized for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and its focus on expressing the unique terroir of the dolomite and limestone soils found throughout the Kurtatsch village area.
