Tasting Notes: The Fontanafredda Gavi di Gavi has an ample nose, with an intense bouquet featuring floral notes, vanilla, lemon and apples. On the palate, dry, full-bodied, well-balanced and elegant. Excellent as an aperitif, and delicious with antipasti, shellfish, and chicken dishes.
Estate History: Among the splendid rolling hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, stands the beautiful Fontanafredda estate, which once belonged to King Vittorio Emanuele II who n turn gave it to Rosa Vercellana, a commoner with whom he had fallen madly in love. An ancient love story, kept alive by the modern Fontanafredda team, with particular attention to that desire to renew and improve that which has always distinguished the company, now a point of reference in the Langa area. Here, indeed the passion for wine, for the land and for tradition finds its most concrete expression.
