Tasting Notes: The Carranco Villa dei Baroni Etna Bianco is a pure expression of the -native to Mt. Etna- Carricante grape. The name of this ancient native grape originates from the expression “u carricanti”, reflecting the abundant production of the vines. Limiting the fruit on the vines, produces grapes of outstanding quality, which result in a wine of great structure and longevity. The combination of the altitude, rich soils and cool evening temperatures typical of Etna convey complex, savory, intense and elegant characteristics to this wine, with fruit notes of green apple and citrus.
Estate History: The Carranco estate sits about 1,600 feet above sea level in the village of Pietra Marina, located on the north side of Etna - one of the most suitable slopes for wine production.
